Building Service Industry:Opportunities and Challenges
Central to the service industry is ① an open society in which government and business open up their services to let other parties either engage or collaborate; ② the availability of rich and flexible service capabilities that application components can be combined dynamically with little effort into value-added services.The remarkable progress in Web and service technology is paving the way for building a modern service industry.In this paper we review the current development in service technologies and outline the challenges in building future service.
