A Hybrid Fault Tree Based on Average Chance and its Applications
This paper proposes a method to construct and analyze a hybrid fault tree based on average chance of a random fuzzy event.If the base event is obtained by the reliability manual,the fault rate of the tree is represented by a determined number.If the base event is obtained by the expert experience but not the statistics data,the fault rate of the tree is represented by a fuzzy variable.If the base event has a probability distribution with undetermined parameters,the fault rate of the tree is represented by a random fuzzy variable.Then average chance of the top event is calculated by hybrid simulation.At last,an example on internal-combustion engine is employed to illustrate the feasibility and efficiency of the fault tree.
