Synthesis of MoO3 films with different concentrations of sodium molybdate solution by hydrothermal route

In the present research,the photochromic MoO3 films with novel morphology has been synthesized via hydrothermal method,using different concentrations of sodium molybdate solution.Some of the MoO3 films are found to have enhanced photochromic properties.The optimum concentration is also discussed.Morphologies and performances of MoO3 films are affected by concentration solution have been studied by techniques of X-ray diffraction (XRD),transmission electron microscopy (TEM),scanning electron microscopy (SEM),as well as ultraviolet and visible spectroscopy (UV–vis).We analyzed the reason for improved photochromic performances of MoO3 films.And the possible growth mechanisms of the enhanced photochromic performances MoO3 films are also discussed on the view of crystallization kinetics.
