Compact Mixed-cross Coupled Bandpass Filter with Improved Frequency Selectivity
A compact Cascade Trisection (CT) bandpass filter (BPF) with improved frequency selectivity using mixed cross-coupling is proposed. The proposed filter consists of three stepped impedance resonators (SIRs),which the non-adjacent resonators provide the mixed cross-coupling.Three controllable transmission zeros (TZs) can be generated near the passband to enhance the skirt selectivity of the filter. To verify the proposed methods,a new BPF centered at 2.5 GHz was designed, fabricated and measured.Measured results are in good agreement with the analysis, and the circuit only occupies 6.70×7.90mm2.
