Multi-exposure Image Fusion with Discrete Band Limited Shearlet Transform
Due to the limitations of CCD and CMOS sensors certain exposure settings limit the fidelity with which these technologies can capture a real scene.Ideally multiple images would be taken at various exposure settings to enable the reconstruction of images that would be more comparable to the human visual system.Shearlet transform is one of the beyond wavelet transforms;it is almost optimal approximation and can represent directions effectively.Discrete Band limited Shearlet Transform (DBLST) performs the discretization of the Shearlet Transform directly in the frequency domain and is a powerful tool for image processing.In this paper,a method of multi exposure image fusion based on DBLST is proposed;the simulation results suggest the proposed method can fuse multi exposure images better than wavelet.
