In the last 5 years rice planthoppers (Nilaparvata lugens and Sogatella furcifera) have become the most damaging pests of rice that are threatening the sustainability of intensive systems.From 2008 Thailand” s rice bowl has suffered continuous outbreaks for 10 consecutive seasons.
