Microsatellite Markers Development for Sesamia inferens (Walker) and Laodelphax striatellus :Genomic SSRs vs.EST-SSRs
Microsatellites or simple sequence repeats (SSRs) are the most powerful codominant markers in population genetics, with a broad spectrum of applications. For fully understand the population genetics of the studied species, the large numbers of microsatellite loci were needed. Now an average of 17.4 microsatellite loci are employed in studies published in the Molecular Ecology journal in 2011, especially for the studies of ” Ecological Genomics” and ” Molecular Adaptation”.
