Reservoir Bank Stability Study on Strength Reduction
In order to study the influence factors of the reservoir bank stability, based on FLAC-3D,numerical calculation model for reservoir bank stability was established by strength reduction.The results show: (1) Two criterions of reservoir bank instability were compared based on strength reduction,thesafety factor is similar to use criterion of plastic zone and displacement; (2) Internal friction angle and cohesive strength are the main factor that influence the reservoir bank stability, the tensile strength has minimal effect; (3) It is recommended to use clayey soil with high internal friction angle and cohesive strength in order to improve the stability of the reservoir bank
