Study of Preparation of Polyphenol Film from Phenol Wastewater by Electrochemical Method The Effect of pH Value of Electrolytes on Electrochemical Polymerization of Phenol and Corrosion Resistance of Polyphenol Film
In order to address the issue of resource utilizations of phenol wastewater,electrochemical method of preparation of polyphenol film from phenol wastewater is studied.With a 304 stainless steel as working electrode,respectively with Na2CO3,Na2SO4,(NH4) 2SO4 as the supporting electrolyte,simulated phenol wastewater is treated by electrochemical polymerization,then phenol from the aqueous solution is polymerized on stainless steel anode to be a dense yellow-brown film.The conditions of forming film under different electrolyte and corrosion resistance of the film in 3.5% sodium chloride solution are characterized by electrochemical tests,such as potentiodynamic scanning,cyclic voltammetry,constant current oxidation and so on.The film formed in (NH4) 2SO4 solution has best ability in resistance to chloride ion.It is showed that the yellow-brown film is polyphenol by infrared analysis and the film grows along the sheet by scanning electron microscopy analysis.
