Evaluation of Main Agricultural Biomass for Energy Utilization in Hubei Province
In this paper,the batch dilute-acid hydrolysis processes of wheat,cotton,rape,rice and corn straws of Hubei province were investigated at a sulfuric concentration of 0.05 wt%,a liquid-to-solid ratio of 15∶1(V/m),a reaction pressure of 1.6 MPa and a stirring rate of 500 r/min.The effects of reaction temperature and time on the yields of reducing sugar and the hydrolysis process were investigated.The results showed that at the optimal reaction temperature and time,the sugar concentrations of wheat,cotton,rape,rice and corn straws were 11.25,10.74,11.48,10.97 and 19.02 g/L,respectively,and the corresponding yields of reducing sugar were 32.00%,25.87%,25.81%,30.05% and 40.41%,respectively.Under the selected reaction temperature (200℃) and reaction time (10 min),corn,wheat,rape,and rice straws had the highest,second-highest,third-highest and lowest reducing sugar yields,respectively.The different straw hydrolysis behaviors were mainly due to the different lignocellulose structures of the five kinds of straw.
