Brand Placement and Ethical and Legal Implications:A Comparative Review
Introduction Brand placement has been on a meteoric rise in recent years and emerged into a $4 billion industry in films,television,and print media.Statistics show that global paid brand placement grew 37.2% to $3.36 billion in 2006 (PQ Media,2007).Although the United States remains the largest global market for brand placement,accounting for two-thirds of spending,growth will accelerate in Asia and Europe.China was predicted to be the world”s fastest-growing brand placement market in 2007 with spending growth of 34.5% (PQ Media,2007).
