日本に於ける近代化遺産の保存·修復及び活用
Stone and brick masonry buildings came central role to play as a basic infrastructure, such as silk and steel factories make locomotive and automobile transportation in the modernization of the Japan.When thinking about preservation and conservation and utilization for stone and brick masonry buildings we have to know the degradation mechanisms.A salt weathering would cause major brick masonry and stone and frost damage is also cause where low temperature area in northern part of Japan.In this report, while introducing some of such conservation cases, locomotive shed No.3 in Temiya, old Yamagata prefectural Assembly Capitol and former Justice Ministry building, make a consideration about restoration and additional method of Seismic resistance of stone and brick structures.There are several methods depends on the individual cases and also a combination of several techniques that even if there will be.What”s important is to restore the cultural properties not to lose the value of the cultural properties and hand over them to future generations.
