Assessment on the Adaptivity of Recommender Systems in EC
Adaptivity is a major characteristic of recommender system for improving the usability of EC system, and to meet the requirements of heterogeneous user categories.Important thought it is, there is still limited knowledge as to the effectiveness of adaptive techniques.This is due to the lack of systematic works for the evaluation of adaptive systems.The authors propose a framework on evaluating the adaptivity of online recommender systems, discuss the procedure and method of the assessment, and give a review about the future works in related research areas.
