Scroll Compressor Vibration Optimizations

Vibration was one of the most critical assessment criteria for high-quality scroll compressor.However it was also one of the most difficult characteristics in the progress of compress design.Theoretical, Vibration was mainly generated by two sources-rotating unbalance and components resonance.By modeling the 3D parts and analyzing reaction force and nature modal frequency in ADAMS and ANSYS, a number of key factors which lead to bad vibration performance are identified.A good balancing optimization methodology was obtained.The conclusion results show that supporting components assembly nature modal frequency should be kept away from the exciting frequency.The results can be applied directly in the design and development of low vibration scroll compressor.
