This article focuses on the functions and applications of the Task-based Language Teaching Approach in English teaching of the visually impaired students in college by illustrating its basic theory, structure and teaching principle, and the author wants to show that the Task-based Language Teaching Approach plays a very critical role in improving the English teaching of visually impaired students
