Simulating Computation of the Air Age of the Space Station Cabin
This paper have presented the numerical computation about the air age of the action zone of the cabin, which had been used as the space station cabin.The mass conservation equation and Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations had been solved to compute the air flow field.And the transport equation of the air age had been solved by using the User-Defined Scalar (UDS) transport equations of the FLUENT.The distribution of the flow field and the air age of two types of ventilation had been compared, in which one was designed as the inlets and outlets were put in the same side, while the other one was designed as the inlets and outlets were put in different sides.Found that when the inlets and outlets were put in the same side, the distribution of the flow field and the air age was good, while the value of air age was higher when the inlets and outlets were put in different sides.Then, as the inlets and outlets were put in the same side, the air age in the action zone with five different inlet velocities had been computed, and found that the air age value was reduced as the velocity value was increased.All of the above results had important signification, which could be used to guide the simulate test of the space station on the ground.
