Automatic Vehicle Navigation Based On Image Processing Using Kinect
The Microsoft’s Kinect is a device which can enable users to interact through gestures and spoken commands.The depth sensor in the Kinect can been used to produce 3D image.This paper is aboutautomatic navigation using a commercial robotic vehicle SRV-1and a Kinect.The Kinect is connected to a laptop which can process Kinect’s output data.Using the depth image data and 3D data(XYZ)obtained by the Kinect,the laptop can navigate the vehicle SRV-1 to avoid obstacles and build a 3D global map in the indoor environment.
