Advances in Imaging Technologies for Breast Cancer Detection

摘要：

Although mammography still remains the gold standard for breast cancer screening and diagnosis,it typically cannot differentiate benign from malignant disease and is less accurate in patients with dense glandular breasts.Over the last decade,there have been tremendous advances in breast imaging technologies.The goal of breast imaging is to develop highly sensitive and highly specific techniques.Current clinical applications of ultrasound,magnetic resonce imaging (MRI),positron emission tomography (PET) in breast imaging will be reviewed.This presentation will then examine recent progress in digital mammography,including contrastenhanced imaging,tomosynthesis,computer-aided detection (CAD),and breast CT.
