Analysis on Performance of a New Type Heat-source Tower with Air Pretreatment Function
In view of the high hygroscopic rate and the problem of solution regeneration after long running in the existing open heat-source tower,a new type heat-source tower structure with air pretreatment function was designed.Through setting finned coil in the air intakes of tower,inlet air was pretreated by low temperature solution,causing the vapor partial pressure difference between the air in phase interface and in mainstream was decreased,leading to reduce or avoid the moisture transferring from the air into the solution.In this paper,the operating principle of this new heat-source tower was analyzed in theory.Based on the existing open cross-flow heat-source tower,a double row finned coil was developed.The new type heat-source tower was simulated by the heat and mass transfer mathematical model of the tower and finned coil.Compared to the conventional heat-source tower,results showed that the new type heat-source tower had higher heat exchange performance and lower hygroscopicity,which provided guidance to the structure optimization of heat-source tower.
