A investigation of thermal analysis and design optimization for switched capacitor DC-DC converter
This paper investigates the optimization design of the switched capacitor type DC/DC converter for Battery energy storage system.The switched capacitor type DC/DC converter consists of the serial connected four semiconductor switch,the boost reactor and flying capacitor.The converter outputs the three level output voltage waveform.Therefore,boost reactor and switching loss can be reduced.This paper discusses the loss analysis results and thermal analysis for the switched capacitor type DC/DC converter.The experimental results confirmed that the maximum efficiency is over 98%.Furthermore,the optimal design of switched capacitor type DC/DC converter is discussed.
