TCD在Rasmussen脑炎致痫灶定位诊断中的临床应用
Rasmussen encephalitis (RE) is a childhood-onset special disease, clinically characterized by intractable epilepsy with loss of progressive cognitive, speech and motor function.It was first reported by Rasmussen in 1958, but clinically rare.A variety of medicines are ineffective in treating this disease.Early surgical operation is the only effective treatment method; it can obliviously control the seizures, and the postoperative neuropsychological assessment of patients can have much better results,and it also can effectively prevent mental decline.The accurate localization of epileptogenic focus is crucial for surgical operation, especially in the early stage of the disease.We used TCD technology to monitor the blood flow velocity of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) of 8 patients with Rasmussen encephalitis, and analyzed the relationship between epilepsy seizures and the change of brain blood flow velocity.We hoped that TCD technology can be conducive to localization of epileptogenic focus.
