Experimental investigation of Zn/Fe80Ti20 diffusion couple and phase diagram calculation of the Zn-Fe-Ti system at 450 ℃
The phase diagram of Zn-Fe-Ti system at the Zn-Fe rich side was thermodynamically assessed.The Zn/Fe80Ti20 diffusion couple was prepared to investigate the phase equilibria at the Zn-Fe rich side.It suggested that the diffusion path from Fe80Ti20 alloy to Liquid Zn is Fe2Ti+Bcc(Fe) → Fe2Ti+Bcc(Fe)+T(Ti4.0Fe7.5Zn88.5)→ T+δ(FeZn10) →ξ(FeZn13) →ξ+Liquid at 450 ℃.Then a set of self-consistent thermodynamic description of the Zn-Fe-Ti system was obtained based on the experimental results and the data in literature.
