Tribological and corrosion behavior of modified epoxy coatings in marine environment

The tribological performance and corrosion behavior of epoxy coatings (EP)and EP composited with graphene oxide (GO) and PTFE were studied. The corrosion behavior was investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in simulated seawater (3.5wt% NaCl solution). Results indicated that the graphene oxide and PTFE had a synergistic effect on improving the corrosion and wear resistance of EP,when the amount of GO exceeded 1%, the anticorrosion of modified epoxy coating decreased because of its hydrophilic property.
