Encoding and Decoding Algorithms of QC-LDPC Codes for G3-PLC

The combination of Reed-Solomon Code (RS-Code) and Convolution Code (CC-Code) is widely used for detection and error correction of channel encoding in traditional power-line communication (PLC) systems using narrow band high-speed OFDM technology,e.g.,G3-PLC.Although this combination offers some benefit for the performance of the traditional frequency-spread single-carrier PLC systems,the improvement is not significant.In this article,We present a QC-LDPC algorithm,which is a substitution for the RS+CC for forward error correcting code (FEC).The experiment results illustrate that QC-LDPC algorithm can improve the system SNR with 0:5dB to 1:5dB under AWGN BPSK/QBPSK modulation with BER under 10-3.
