A Gram-negative,aerobic,rod-shaped,non-spore-forming,non-motile bacterial strain,designated BUT-6T,was isolated from activated sludge in Jiangsu province,China.This strain was.The strain grew at 15-35 °C (optimum 30 °C),pH 3.0-10.0 (optimum pH 7.0) and 0 ％-5.0 ％ of NaCl (optimum 1.0 ％).
