Evaluate the Interoperability of Document format:Base on Translation Practice of OOXML and UOF
This article takes OOXML and UOF standards as example to evaluate the office document format interoperability according to the translation practice.This study test all the features of OOXML and UOF,the newest version of UOF-Open XML Translator shows that about 80.4% features we can translate OOXML and UOF in both direction,about 9.9% features we can translate with discrepancy,while there are still about 9.7% features should take more efforts to study.From our several years’ experience,some features can be translated in theory while there are some discrepancies in the translation implementation.The results clearly indicate that more effort should be taken to the interoperability implementation.
