Analysis of the Effects of the Air Gap Thickness on the Transmisstance of E-ray with Deviated Optical Axes
Taking Glan-Taylor prism with deviated optical axes for example,double beam interference in the air gap are considered in detail,e-ray transmisstance varing with the air gap thickness by deviated optical axes is analyzed.Finally,the formula for the transmittance of e -ray in the air gap are obtained when the prism optical axes have departure angles from their ideal directions.The suitable thickness of air gap will improve the e-ray transmissivity,in order to design an optimum prism.
