Impact of Engendering Lower-Tier Visibility on the Performance of Supplier Relationship Management

  This study examines whether and how the companies that emphasize lower-tier visibility (LTV) in their supplier relationship management (SRM) can result better SRM performance.Using our survey data,we are able to show that LTV are positively related to all SRM performance measures at three levels: the immediate purchasing level,the corporate level,and the inter-corporate level.In particular,the corporate level has the strongest correlation with LTV.Our findings provide such a justification for LTV investment in industry.
