Methods to Study Serendipity

摘要：

　　Despite the important role of serendipity in information research,its relevant studies within China are at a very early stage.This paper categorises current research methods of investigating serendipity in this area.The use of social media has been highlighted and discussed as a research method in serendipity research.By reviewing the research methods,we aim to help scholars and designers to conduct empirical studies to better understand this phenomenon.
