Comparison of Steam Distillation and Ultrasonic-assisted Extraction of Natural Borneol from Fresh Leaves of Cinnamomun Burmannii B1
Bomeol is one of the most important components of Cinnamomun burmannii B1.The paper is to study that steam distillation as well as ultrasonically assisted extraction of natural bomeol from Cinnamomun burmannii B1.The quality of volatile oil is used as standards for the evaluation of the extracts. The effects of the way of distillation, ultrasonic power, ultrasonic time, ultrasonic temperature and the quality of raw material have been studied in single factor experiment.Through orthogonal test design experiment, the optimum conditions of volatile oil extraction are established. The results indicate that the optimum conditions are ultrasonic power for800 W,ultrasonic time for 1.5 h,the quality of raw material for 1 kg,ultrasonic temperature for 120℃.Under the optimum conditions, the extraction yield of volatile oil is 0.85%.Through GC-MS chromatograms of volatile oil obtained under the optimum conditions, the relative content of natural borneol is 78.46%.
