The transcription factor KLF4 as an Independent predictive Marker for pathological complete remission in Breast Cancer neoadjuvant chemotherapy: a case control study

Baekground The aim of this study was to identify whether a stem cell biomarker, KLF4, may predict the pathological complete remission to neoadjuvant chemotherapy for patients with locally advanced breast cancer.Methods We identified 12 locally advanced breast cancer patients who achieved pathological complete remission(pCR)after neoadjuvant chemotherapy and for each, we selected three non-pCR breast cancer patients, who werematched for age, clinical TNM stage and neoadjuvant chemotherapy cycles.
