In Situ Observation of Phase Transformation in 2.25Cr1Mo0.25V Steel during Thermal Cycle
By way of CLSM, the specimen of 2.25Cr1Mo0.25V steel was treated with a continuously heating and cooling cycle and surface morphology of the specimen was observed in situ and in real time during phase transformation upon continuously cooling.Results show that through in situ observation, nucleation location, transformation sequence, growth direction, and shape of phase transformation upon continuously cooling was determined.Upon cooling, phase transformation initiates along grain boundary.Then phase transformation occurs along other grain boundary accordingly.After phase transformation finishes along austenitic boundary, phase transformation occurs within grain.Phase transformation occurs at the temperature range of bainite formation.Phase transformation starts at 481 ℃ and fmishes at 407℃.
