Behavioral medicine is defined as ”the interdisciplinary field concerned with the development and integration of psychosocial, behavioral and biomedical knowledge relevant to health and illness and the application of this knowledge to prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation” (Charter International Society of Behavioral Medicine).
