Meat-analysis of genetic associations with coronary artery disease in the type 2 diabetic population

Background The mechanisms of both type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and coronary artery disease (CAD) are multi-factorial but remain poorly understood.The ”common soil” hypothesis suggests both disorders share common genetic background.The aim of this current meta-analysis was to determine the genes associated with CAD in T2DM patients.
