Fractional flow reserve guides treatment with left main coronary disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis for clinical trials
Background Left main coronary artery (LMCA) disease remains an important risk factor for increased mortality and morbidity of diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, and fractional flow reserve (FFR) is used for assessing hemodynamic significance of coronary stenoses based on the use of pressure wires and assessment of hyperemic pressure gradients across coronary lesions, which is a simple, reliable, and reproducible physiologic index of lesion severity. This study was aimed to assess clinical outcomes of FFR guiding pharmacologic therapy vs.LMCA revascularization for LMCA disease.
