Role of O-GlcNAcylation in high glucose induced-cardiomyocyte hypertrophy: via ERK1/2 and Cyclin D2
Background Continuous hyperglycemia is considered the most significant pathogenesis of diabetic cardiomyopathy, which manifests itself as cardiac hypertrophy and consequent heart failure.O-GlcNacylation attracted attention as a posttranslational modification of proteins in recent decade. The role of O-GlcNacylation in high glucose induced-hypertrophy of cardiomyocytes remains unclear.
