Remote ischemic pre-and post-conditioning provides similar degree of cardioprotection in patients undergoing coronary stent implantation
Background Myocardial injury occurs frequently in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and is associated with subsequent major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE).This study assessed the ability of remote ischemic pre-and post-conditioning (RIPC & RIPOSTC) in patients undergoing coronary drug-eluting stent implantation with normal baseline troponin values.
