Radial artery intima-media thickness as a new cardiovascular risk factor in patients with coronary artery disease: comparison with carotid artery intima-media thickness by ultrasound biomicroscope
Background Using ultrasound biomicroscope (UBM) which have a high resolution to detecte radial artery wall structure have a great feasibility and high accuracy. In our study, we aim to explore clinical correlates of radial artery intima-media thickness (rlMT), in patient with coronary artery disease, and further compare those to common carotid artery IMT (cIMT) that is an accepted marker of atherosclerosis.
