Changes of Tei index and natriuretic peptides (ANP, BNP) after transcatheter closure of patent ductus arteriosus
Background To observe the changes of myocardial performance index (Tei index) and plasma atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in patients with patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) treated by trans-catherter closure,and identify its associated factors.Methods Twenty-four patients with PDA underwent trans-catheter closure using occluder, the Tei index of left and right ventricular were measured with echocardiograph before and after trans-catheter closure at 2 days and 3 months respectively.The plasma concentration of ANP and BNP were measured before and after closure at 10 minutes, 2 days and 3 months.
