Long-term role of endovascular intervention in patients of diabetes with peripheral arterial disease
Background Lower-limb vascular lesions are the major complication of diabetes and the main reason of diabetic amputation.Patients with diabetes more commonly present with involvement of the deep femoral and tibial arteries compared with patients who are not diabetic.Interventional therapy could relieve symptoms rapidly and effectively, but up to date, long-term role of endovascular intervention in treating diabetic patients with peripheral arterial disease is unclear and the results are conflicting. To this end, we observed the long-term efficacy of endovascular intervention in diabetic patient with peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
