Complication rates after left-versus right-sided carotid artery stenting

Background The experience of the operators and anatomic characteristics of the target lesion and aortic arch may influence the outcomes of carotid artery stenting (CAS) and result in high stroke risk of left CAS.The effect of the side intervened upon has been rarely analyzed.This study was aimed at evaluating and comparing the safety of left-versus right CAS in patients with severe unilateral carotid stenosis.
