Background Heart enlargement and persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) often coexist, and persistent atrial fibrillation adversely affects prognosis of heart enlargement.We prospectively evaluated the effect of step-wise ablation in persistent atrial fibrillation with heart enlargement.
