New risk factor score to predict one-year mortality of patients with heart failure in China:multicenter study
Background Although risk factors for assessing heart failure (HF) mortality have been extensively studied in Western populations, little is known about risk factors in Chinese patients with HF.Methods We sought to identify variables that predict 1-year HF deaths and develop a standardized risk score to estimate the likelihood of mortality for patients hospitalized with HF.The study sample included 1742 Chinese HF patients who were ≥20 years of age who were discharged from 14 large hospitals in Beijing from July 7, 2007 to September 5, 2009.
