Six-month follow-up of renal sympathetic denervation confirms safety and short-term efficacy as treatment of resistant hypertension
Background The aim of the study is to evaluate the safety and short-term efficacy of renal sympathetic denervation(RDN) as treatment for resistant hypertension.Methods Eight patients (6 males and 2 females) with resistant hypertension underwent renal sympathetic denervation in Fuwai Hospital from February 2012 to April 2012, Patients were followed up at 1, 3 and 6 months after the procedure.Blood pressure, usage of antihypertension drugs, renal function and complications were investigated.
