Reduction of blood pressure with improvement of cardiac function by renal sympathetic denervation: results from 3 months
Background Previous study showed that the dropping blood pressure can reverse pressure-overloaded left ventricular hypertrophy in the long-term effect.This structural remodeling and cardiac function improvement were caused by reducing BP levels or sympathetic tone still unclear.The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of renal sympathetic denervation (RSD) on cardiac function and left ventricular hypertrophy in patients who suffering from resistant hypertension with systolic and diastolic disfunction.
