The new challenge of harm reduction organization faced due to the changes in drug use pattern of heroin users in Macau

　　The changes of the injecting drug users (IDU) from using heroin to methamphetamine have been drawing increasing attention in the past years.Base on the historical background, heroine becomes the majority among the substance users.In Macau, the percentage of heroine abused was decreasing in the past few years.On the other hand, percentage of such as ketamine and meth-amphetamine abused were increasing.According to the Report on Drug Control in Macao 2013, and the statistics of 2014, similar paten has been found in the new registered cases.The current study used questionnaire as a tool for interview to investigate the shift of proportion of the major substance consumes.The reasons and challenges and interventions will be discussed.
