Developments in the Detection of Current HPHT and CVD Synthetics

　　Recent changes in the properties of both HPHT and CVD synthetics will require changes in the way identification criteria are applied.De Beers continually develops the Verification Instruments it produces to respond to these changes.The Automated Melee Screening instrument provides screening capability for melee sized synthetic stones and the introduction of filtering into the latest version of the DiamondViewTM instrument has enhanced its capability for the identification of both HPHT and CVD synthetics.
