Clinical Engineering (CE) is an engineering specialty that supports and advances patient care by applying engineering methods and management tools to technologies used in patient care,regardless of care location.As such, its evolution is tightly coupled with that of health technologies.Therefore, CE professionals must be aware of the trends and megatrends in health technologies in order to advance in their careers and provide valuable services to theiremployers and countries.
