Analysis on Development and Trend of Beef Cattle Breeding Industry in China
The beef cattle breeding industry of China presented as ”beef cattle inventory continued to decline, cow inventory increased slightly, the shortage of cattle resource was still rather serious,breeding cost was high, breeding efficiency increased slightly, the degree of breeding scale was enhanced further”.Expecting in 2011, the beef cattle inventory will decrease slightly and stabilize gradually, scalized farming will be promoted further, cows will increase, the supply of feeder cattle still can”t meet the demand; besides, breeding cost will continue to be high, and breeding efficiency will be difficult to improve further.From a longer-term perspective, no matter domestic and international macro-economic situation or the micro factors of cattle industry”s development will cause more disadvantages than advantages for cattle industry, so some practical proposal should be taken to create a favorable macro and micro condition which will ensure the sustained and healthy development of beef cattle industry.
