Analysis of the Associations between Performance Traits and Microsatellite Markers in Grassland Red Cattle
In order to find genetic markers of productive traits in Grassland Red Cattle(GLRC), the relationship between 5 microsatellite loci (DVGA2, DVGA46, DVGA44, BM2113 and TGLA44) and21 performance traits of 66 Grassland Red Cattle and its improved hybrid by Limousine(LM) was studied at molecular level. The results showed that, allele C(142bp) in BM2113 locus had a positive correlation with gam girth, net meat weight and net meat rate.Allele C(211bp) in IDVGA46 locus had a negative correlation to withers, shoulders, thickness of waist, thigh muscle, hip appearance, carcass weight, dressing percentage, net meat weight and net meat rate et al.Allele E (221bp) in TGLA44locus had a positive correlation with withers, loin thickness ,buttocks shape, body weight, carcass weight and net meat weight.
